About

Sells a developer-first security platform that analyzes the behavior of open-source dependencies in real time to block supply chain attacks before malicious packages reach a codebase.

Founded in 2020 by Feross Aboukhadijeh, a Stanford CS lecturer and prolific open-source maintainer behind packages like WebTorrent and StandardJS. After years building widely used JavaScript libraries, Feross saw firsthand how supply chain attacks were exploiting trust in npm. He started Socket with his brother Amjed and co-founder Cole Robins to detect malicious open-source behavior before it spreads.
