Founded in 2012 in New York by Sunil Madhu (a serial identity/security entrepreneur whose prior companies Netegrity and Securent had reached IPO and a $100M Cisco exit) and Johnny Ayers (previously a Senior Consultant at IBM and a startup COO). The pair set out to build the future of identity verification by leveraging the vast signal of the internet and machine learning. Madhu departed in 2019; Ayers became CEO in August 2020.
