Co-founded in 2020 by Chris Severn (CEO) and Adam Geitgey (CTO). Severn spent over a decade modeling managed-care contracts at firms like Cloudmed and Arcosta, which gave him insight into secret negotiated rates between payers and providers. After hearing about new federal price-transparency rules, Severn and Geitgey sketched the concept for Turquoise at a WeWork in London just before the pandemic.
Series C to make Turquoise the operating system for healthcare contracts and payments; existing investors a16z, Adams Street, Yosemite participated.
