Abridge was founded in 2018 by Dr. Shiv Rao (a practicing cardiologist at UPMC), Sandeep Konam, and Florian Metze. The product began as a consumer app for patients to record visits and evolved into an enterprise medical scribe platform deeply integrated with Epic.
