Resolve AI was founded by Spiros Xanthos and Mayank Agarwal, who met during graduate studies at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and previously co-founded Omnition (acquired by Splunk in 2019). The duo helped create OpenTelemetry, the open-source observability framework, and founded Resolve AI to apply AI to automate production engineering operations — a problem they had observed firsthand over 20+ years building developer and observability tools.
