Roofstock was founded in 2015 by Gary Beasley, Gregor Watson, Devin Wade, and Rich Ford. The founders previously worked together at Waypoint Homes, an early single-family rental aggregator that became part of Invitation Homes. They launched Roofstock in 2016 to make single-family rental investing accessible to individual investors through an online marketplace.
